Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Door Installer / Apprentice Carpenter to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of doors, as well as learn the foundational skills of carpentry in a hands-on environment. Whether you're experienced or just starting your carpentry career, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the trade.
As an Apprentice Carpenter , you will work closely with experienced carpenters, gaining knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in both door installation and general carpentry tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Door Installation : Measure, cut, and install doors in residential and commercial buildings.
Carpentry : Assist with framing, drywall, and other general carpentry tasks.
Tool Handling : Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Blueprint Interpretation : Read and understand construction plans and blueprints.
Customer Service : Maintain professional and courteous interactions with clients on-site.
Safety : Follow all safety protocols and building codes to ensure quality work and a safe work environment.
On-the-Job Training : Learn various carpentry techniques under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
Ability to measure and cut accurately.
Good physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in construction or carpentry.
Basic understanding of carpentry techniques and tools.
OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain).
