This position is part of the Global Sales Organization located in Maryland or the Mid-Atlantic territory, and will be fully remote. You will be part of the North American Sales Team, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (East), responsible for driving order growth and developing and maintaining strong client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic US territory (MD, VA, WV, DC).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, academic, and government organizations in the assigned territory.
  • Establish and nurture business opportunities with new clients by supporting their ongoing and future programs.
  • Coordinate with Aldevron’s inside sales and technical support teams to refine the sales and business development process.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date forecasts, delivering visibility to new revenue opportunities and projecting revenue recognition for the quarter and year.
  • Manage opportunity and sales pipeline data in CRM system daily.

Minimum requirements include:

  • B.S. in a scientific field.
  • At least 5 years in a client-facing sales role within the life sciences industry, with experience in biopharma selling into cell and gene therapy segments, and a proven top-performer track record.
  • Broad technical understanding of molecular and cell biology workflows related to biotherapeutics, including nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, CAR-T, etc.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience supporting Cell and Gene Therapies through Contract Development or Manufacturing Organizations, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience in clinical drug development, including knowledge of call points, sales cycle, and KOL engagement in Biotech and Pharma for Cell and Gene Therapy.

Preferred additional experience:

  • MSc or PhD.
  • Supporting early or late-stage clinical programs and/or GMP manufacturing.

We support flexible, remote work arrangements for eligible roles. The salary range is $145,000-$185,000, plus bonus/incentives. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k). Additional details about remote work options will be provided during the interview process.
