Practice Setting: 650-Bed Level II Trauma Center

Job Summary:

We are actively recruiting a skilled and motivated Neurosurgeon to join a high-performing Neurosciences program within a large, not-for-profit health system in Michigan . This is a dynamic opportunity to work alongside experienced neurosurgeons and neurologists, with access to advanced surgical tools, neurocritical care resources, and a robust emergency department. Candidates with neuroendovascular training or experience are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spinal cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neuroradiologists, physiatrists, and rehab specialists
• Participate in the development of a Comprehensive Stroke Center (currently a Primary Stroke Center)
• Contribute to stroke rehabilitation through a partnership with Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital
• Utilize cutting-edge neuroimaging and surgical technologies
• Option to participate in medical education and mentorship

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree – Required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery (within 0–5 years of residency completion) – Required
• Active Michigan medical license or in process – Required
• Documented experience in neurosurgical procedures (cranial and spinal) – Required
• Fellowship training or experience in neuroendovascular surgery – Highly Preferred
• Must not have applied directly to the facility – Required for agency consideration
• No Locums or visa sponsorship (J-1/H-1B) available
